The size of the lightbar should be controlled.

The lightbar of the CV I made in 2010 was too big.

According to this blueprint, these new fully-LED light bars have no a great height.

The height in cluding the mounting-pieces are not over 4", the height of the light itself is just about 3".

Height of Traditional light bar may be a little bigger.

If you model is 1:24, 5 in /24= 0.2083 in.

So never buy 5mm or bigger LED, 3mm is OK.

I suggest a led strip. Light, dimensions are suitable for low assemblies and these come with a variety of colors. See the pic.
