Even though there are lots of Pirated models out there of these, I would be afraid that re-posting would be over the line. Just my opinion.

If someone made contact with a designer, that would be different

These models are all over the Internet and sometimes I wonder if that is what killed them. I wish these were legitimately (other than EBAY) available. Alcan was located in Vigo, Spain. I have never been able to find anything about them. They went out of business in 2004. It seems to me that their copyright would still be in effect, but I do not "know" this. It's quite sad actually, they are nice looking models. I have never seen them in them U.S..

Thanks for posting these pictures, you have an enviable collection!!

They were in the U.S.
I purchased a couple at a Ben Franklin store in Amherst, Ohio a few years ago.

Other than the person, I have never heard of a store called "Ben Franklin". Connecticut is a backwoods state though. We don't get or see a lot of stuff here. I have never seen any paper models for sale in this state.

Back Woods??
Thats nothing. We had a few of those Five & Dime stores down my way too.
Haven't seen one in Many Years though. Thought they had gone Bankrupt & closed all!!
Chincoteague, Va. had one as did Princess Anne, Md. Both are Long gone now though.
Never would have thought they would have something like these though.
Are the remaining few Second hand stores now??

What is a "Second Hand Store"? Wouldn't you need all 3 hands to make a decent watch! Yuk Yuk

Ben Franklin stores still exist.
See:

Ben Franklin Stores - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There was a bankruptcy in 1996-1997 which closed the company stores but allowed the individually owned stores to survive.

The couple here in the Phoenix area closed during the bankruptcy. Thought for models and art supplies were much better then Michaels or Hobby Lobby.

That's why I was asking. I wouldn't want to pirate anything, either. Better to do without than steal it.
