Cars of publishing company ALCAN
Publishing company ALCAN has published a row of easy building car models
during the nineteenth. In each case the models exist of only few components. They still look rather good. Unfortunately, they all are out of print. I have built the following models: Schoolbus 1936 TT Land 1927 Bugatti Royale 1924 V8 1932 Ambulance 1934 Last edited by A. Pirling; 03-06-2012 at 03:47 PM. |

Very nice collection! I built the TT Land years ago, and it was a fun build.

Those are really wonderful. It's a shame they are no longer available.

I built the Ford Model A Taxi over a decade ago. I didn't care for the thin glossy paper Alcan used, but I was fairly pleased with the result. The graphics reminded me of classic lithographed tinplate toys, so I didn't mind the simplified wheels.
I gave the finished model away shortly afterwards -- this photo is the only reminder. (I hope it uploads OK...) |

Since these are all out of print and no longer available from the original publisher, would they qualify for the vintage section if someone found unbuilt examples?
