Lacc: yes, but I haven't decided on how to make the hubcaps; they need to be nicely rounded.

This must be a 1:24 scale model; the scanner can sustain only six small LEDs just like the amt model kit.

KITT had 7 separate lights in that Chase "Scanner"
The Old MPC Trans Am is engraved to look like there are 14!!

Aoshima offered ALL Seasons of KITT & KARR And include
the LED Scanners in them at extra cost.
The ones fro KARR are even Amber.
And I think Double-Chase!

They are NOT Cheap, But Nice kits!!
(Or KITTs!!)

I didn't know that; I just were referring to the "naked" kit without lighing set. I have the unlit version and found out that only six standard 3mm LEDs fitted inside the scanner area. You never stop learning..!

MPC's kit!!
I have 2 of them
But, if you can find the newer Micro-LED's I bet you can fit more in
position.

The Aoshima kits are Curbside. (No Engine under the hood)
All you have to do for the Scanner is mount the pre-assembled piece in place!!
It is all pre-wired. even battery contacts.

I see them on the Evil Auction Bay!!
Look in Go-Boy's Store (recovery Channel)

They are Cheaper than I remember!!!!
Under $50.oo right now!!\
Thought they were $65-80.oo!!

Actually, KITT and KARR had 8 light bulbs in the scanner.
