Triad NASCAR build
Hi all,
Yes I am back with another build. This time I will be building 3, yes 3, that is THREE cars. One for my brother, one for a co worker, and one for a friend of mine. First, for my brother, his favorite driver, Tony Stewart, The #20 The Home Depot/Joe Gibbs Racing Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS For my co worker, her favorite, Dale Earnhardt Jr. The #8 Budweiser/Dale Earnhardt Incorporated Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS And finally for my friend, her favorite driver, Carl Edwards The #99 Office Depot/Roush Racing Ford Fusion Just in case you would like to build the cars, at this time, only the #8 has been released, its nice to be friends with the designer Pick up your favorite driver or race team at http://www.extazaweb.sk/nascarpapermodels/ Here is a picture of the floorpan of the cars. All Stockcars have the same tubular chassis, and floorpan arrangement As usual, more to come Rick

I'm also looking forward to this build. I'll probably end up building a #20 when it's released
Is there any laminating of the structure's you've built so far or is it just card?

This should be a cool thread, as I've been curious as to how these are to build. I'm not a huge NASCAR fan, but I am originally from the south, so I've been exposed....

To quote Ren, "You EEEEEEEEDIOT!"
come to find out that none of the 3 cars i printed, are the same scale. at least the parts of the sheets are off, not lining up correctly over the 3 kits but i did do a check on the body panel sheets, both the #20 and #8 are the same size, the #99 is not, it is smaller. I did reprint the floor parts, now they all match, will do the wheels also Might have to tweak the #99 body panels a bit to get it to fit the other two. Sometimes........... Rick

The Gee Bee I'm building ended up being slightly oversized somehow, and I haven't figured out how yet. I was going to reprint one part and got it at 100% and it didn't match, so I've figured out how to make it work and am going to live with it - but I certainly feel your pain.
