Metmania 248F1

Hello folks ..came across this on my hard drive, its still available from metmania,its on a blog somewhere,you just have to dig around..

for this build ive had a go at edge colouring,had a right job trying to find a Carbon Fibre coloured felt , in the end i got one from the Tartan Paint shop lol.
anyway ive got loads of pics taken with a phone im afraid,but i hope ya like em..

The gloss on some of the parts (esp the carbon fiber ones) are sprayed on?
Really impressive build...

BTW, what kind of paper/card stock are you using?
The one that metmania used is a matte 145 gsm paper/card stock

No ! no spraying involved only cheap felt tips for edges.

Haha... ok, no spraying involved then...

Wow, you're using 220gsm paper! Did you have to trim much to ensure a good fit (seeing that the designer used 145gsm)?

Thanks I thing I've got it all. Now to figure out the scale so I can try to rescale down to 1/24-25 to go with my other stuff. When they say 1 foot model are they referring to 1 inch to the foot (1/12 scale)?

i don't think so ..i think its 1 foot long when complete ..

Thanks, figured that was what they meant, but was hoping it'd be as easy as just printing a 1/12th at 48%. When I get around to it will need to scale a wheel and do a bit of math to come up with a %. Need to work those parts of the brain occasionally anyway.
