Looks good to me, considering the trouble you had. Nice build, thanks for sharing it with us.

In regards to your clear plastic/windows... lately I have been using the clear plastic from the "windows" of some packaging for some toys I've bought for my son recently, it bends and curves really well and holds it's shape without getting that white discolouration some plastics suffer from.
