YAMAHA yz450fm

Hi all its nice to be back, seems a long while since my last build.
I,ve had a go at trucks and tracks so i thought i,d give a go at 2wheels.
As i,ve never done a bike before went to YAMAHA download and what a lot to choose from, starting with the yz450fm, if this works out all right might be tempted to try all of them(fingers crossed ), here,s the fuel tank and the steeringallready made a mistake i glued all the steering together and not read what it said , i,ll cut it down later.

yep, looks good.
i am in the process of trying to do the TMAX scooter, as
i have a real one at home that looks just like it.
I am taking my time on this one, so it may take awhile, lots of cutting to do.
( do you cut all your parts out at once then build or build as you go?

Hi mushroom,
I did that one last year some time, but only did a basic spoke wheels...
other side...

I found the wheel rims and tyres fiddly, but an enjoyable bike to build..

lisatnp, i find it better to cut and build as i go along otherwise i forget where the parts go or even loose bits, a little tip i do is if i,m getting board with one part i,ll start and finish another for later use.
Dondecap, nice finish ,hope mine turns out as good.

I started this one a couple of times, something always happens. Both your builds look great! looking forward to seeing mushrooms finished.
I did build the YZR-M1 from Yamaha, enlarged it a bit for old eyes and hands.......Rich

Hi, it's good to see a new recruit to the two-wheel brigade. It looks like a splendid start, too.

Hi richcat,
nice one, I may well build the rest of their bike series I'm thinking... I like the large 'truck' models, but storage is something else with these...
