outersketcher - If I may answer in stad of patero.

The blue think is disperse glue for paper + blue color toner - this helps modeler to see where is the "impregantion" done.

And the bolts - they are just cuted from paper

OMG, the only description for that kind of work is - NUTS! 'That can't be paper, just amazing' he mutters to himself stumbling off in disbelief.
