Just treading

I have completed all the wheels, and tread, I got one progress pick as my camera went flat so I'm just recharging the battery . Other things I have been working on is the engine bay, overall its taking shape.

CAMERA IS RECHARGED! and LOOK at my Mazda!

I recharged my battery on the camera and took some happy snaps, of the build. As you can see I built the engine bay, and it came out pretty well. the roll cage has been painted red. The next step is to make the disc brakes and finish off the interior. I'm thinking of aluminium bare inner skins for the doors.
As something extra I included a real picture of my Mazda which I decided to vinyl wrap for fun. The bonnet and boot is wrapped in carbon fibre wrap and roof and spoiler is a sticker bomb. Its getting plenty looks. I might buy a Golf and build a tribute car to the paper model.

Roof Rack

I like the old type roof racks of overkill proportions like on 4x4s This is some work I did on the roof rack, I used wire for this, a little forbidden with paper models but oh well.

Moving ahead

Just doing a couple fiddly bits with the engine bay, I have put a couple more details here and there, the radiator and air-conditioning condensers are scaled down actual pictures. The wheels now have 3D brakes fitted behind them, Brembo's up front and stockies up back. I have made the steering column, with indicator and wiper stalks. Instrument cluster fitted, race style shifter, and hydraulic style hand break. If this car was real it would definitely be a monster. I still want to make up some bare inner door skins to give it that stripped out look, then the interior will be finished. I still have a handful of details to do before its finished, but I feel I'm on trackStay tuned!(pardon the pun).

Nearing the end, I also found some pics of the brakes.
