Dodge Heavy Duty Pickup Truck
Hi all,
Having returned to the office on monday, after my vacation to Gatlinburg TN to learn how to turn wood, I was greeted by a very cool little gift on my desk. The Fleet Manager for the City(Yes I work for a Government Entity) recieved this flyer of the 2008 Dodge Heavy Duty trucks, the 4500 and the 5500. In this flyer there was a punch out model of one of thier trucks, and knowing that I am a modelers and love trucks, he gave me the model. Which is here in the picture below The model is a simple tab and slot model, took me nothing flat to fold it and assemble the truck. I am tempted to write to the Fleet Dept. of Chrysler, and see if they have more of kits or are willing to release the kit digitally. So to those who have dealing with Chrysler Fleet, or have a Fleet Manager, might want to check with them for the model or the flyer. Rick

I remember when I was a kid (my daughter says I'm older than dirt) everybody used to give out pre-cut slot and tab models of product or characters. Some of them were pretty nice, oh well times change. |

There is a magazine here in Mexico from the Chrysler/Dodge company, and it issues now and then a paper model just like yours.
My kid built a model of the Nitro SUV, it came out easy and nice. |

Maybe a good rule-of-thumb is 'Don't punch it out until it is scanned'
A mighty nifty gift. |
