Indonesian old taxi: Opelet Si Doel
Recently I built the antik indonesian taxi. It is an Opelet Si Doel from Djakarta around 1957!
It's quite a bit difficult and you have to make some changes, but at last it is a rare and nice model. The scale is about 1:24. Thanks for sharing the pictures... brings back a fun childhood memories.... the base car was Morris Minor Traveller, they modified a bit.... 1 driver and 1 assistent driver who collecting the fare...he always hanging 'thight' outside( at the back) :D with only a flip-flop(sandals) on his feet and yelling the next destination route.
the last "oplet" to operate maybe in the 1979 or 1984 in jakarta i guess
