Build Update
Hello All!
It's been a while since my last post here. Before I continue with this update I'd like to thank you for the kind words and positive comments. Over the past few weeks I've managed to build the left and right break assembles as well as finish up a few other details including the tie bar and steering linkage. The model still remains to be quite a challenge. The diagram for the breaks is all wrong. It would be impossible to build them according to the drawings. I continue to rely on other build threads and reference photos of the actual truck as a guide. Also, there are many unnecessary parts that don't go anywhere. Despite the poor design I continue to move forward. Work continues on the drive train...having built the chain tensioning arms the drive sprockets and chain are next. After adding these details to the frame, everything was sprayed with a few light coats of Vallejo Model Color Flat Red. I'll try to be more frequent with future updates even if they are small. Check back often. |

Looks great!! I just started on this one myself. I've been turning to this post to make help me. My work doesn't compare to yours, so I won't post any pics, but just wanted to thank you for your fine work and helping me find the way while working on mine!

Thank you all for the positive feedback on my Mack truck.
Unfortunately all my paper modeling has been temperately interrupted due to a flooded work space. While we were away on vacation at the end of July, torrential rains on the East coast of the US caused my sump pump to fail which intern caused flooding in my basement. Right now I'm in the process of replacing sub-flooring, drywall and insulation. Once I get these renovations complete I'll be able to get back to the bench. On the bright side I am fortunate that we did not suffer any major losses - this includes all of my models, built and unbuilt. Stay tuned - I'll be back. |

Good luck with that Kevin. Glad to hear you didn't lose anything major, except for the time and money its going to take to fix things back.
