Fortschritt E-512 Combine Harvester, originally 1/100
For a change, this will be the first time that I ever do a farm vehicle, Fortschritt E512 Combine Harvester, originally at 1/100 now reduced to N/scale (1/160), from abc magazine. I wonder if it originates from Minimodels, but not sure.
Some parts, like the reel and ladders have been enhanced from plain graphics into 3-D, discarding the original templates. Also wheel hubs were carved and then caved in to give a more realistic effect. Very tiny beads of UV resin were placed on the lights to give a cone effect, the most obvious are the tail lights on the tow. Anyway, it's a 1/160 model and not too many tiny parts can be achieved in good result. So, here's my debutante in farm vehicle. Your comments and critics are welcome. |

Wonderful build. At 1/100 it would have been a fantastic build, but at 1/160 it is absolutely insane ... in a good way.
Frankly that level of build gives me a headache. I don't know how you do it

Vermin King, thanks. Yes, I agree that it's absolutely insane but it is what it is!

Perhaps I should start a new thread on farm vehicles as I have quite a few on my harddrive.

Just another combine, E-512, with the reel mounted up front.

WOW! Those are amazing papermate. When I first saw the photos (being a Canadian), I thought OMG a Zamboni! Then I looked closer at the photos.
That is a lot of detail for such a small scale. Gary

Ah Papermate, this truly amazing collection is a stern reminder for me to make an optician's appointment as soon as possible.

He's even cut out between the ladder steps for farmer to get into the cab!!! Sure steady hands there to do that so cleanly.

@Gary, it sure looks like a Zamboni at first glance. Thanks for visiting.
@Derek, I have mine almost annually at the optician's, too. Thanks for your kind comments. @DT, thanks for your kind comments. Steady hands aside, I'll have to hold my breath when cutting and ensure absolutely no sneezing at all. |
