1/50 Rick Steffers Jeep

I built my Rick Steffers memorial Jeep in my preferred 1/50 vehicle scale. I used a cropped photo of Rick from 2012 as part of the "chassis" of my model. I also played around with Photoshop a bit on the windows and tires. For the benefit of others who might want to build this model, I'll point out a few errors: the left side of the hood is incorrect (part of a star is missing). This can be fixed by mirroring the right hood side if you have Photoshop, etc. Part numbers 5 and 8 are transposed on the instruction sheet. That being said, the model held up well to the enlargement, with all the pieces still fitting precisely together, color patterns matching, etc.

The part and 8 error would explain why the grill on mine looks janky.

Yours turned out great!

Don - Did you take any photographs of your construction process for the chassis? I am trying to figure out how parts 6 and 7 fit with parts 5 and 8 (or 8 and 5) and how part 9 attaches to the two wheel well assemblies (5 or 8 with 6 and 8 or 5 with 7).

Don, too
