Cugnot steam vehicle

I've called it a vehicle because it doesn't really fit in any other category.

After a little exploring I am reasonably sure this is not a pirated kit as it came from the Robototeknik web sight.

Unlike many of my downloads, this has been printed at "full size" so the "thing" is about 6 inches (13cm) long. The front suspension was the most complicated.

Otherwise, it was an unusual model, but fits in well with my growing collection of steam vehicles.

I liked the history - very little water was carried and had a top speed of 2 1/2 miles an hour. I think it had to take on water every 15 minutes. It was also the first vehicle to crash and the driver was the first to be charged with dangerous driving ;-)

Cheers
Mike

Is that the Robototehnik version, ABC version or someone else's?

Looks good

Looks good. I wonder how many horses it spooked.

Excellent.
Have that one and been thinking about blowing it up to 1/25-24 to fit with most of the rest of my car models. Looks like it should hold up well to doubling.

Thanks for the compliments.

I've also got the steam tractor - I now have all their steam driven vehicles.

VK - it's not the ABC version, but I'd be grateful if you could aim me in it's direction

Cheers
Mike

Here's a video of a reproduction in action:

I have only seen references to it. Not sure when it was done. Not even sure of the sources talking about it
