1995 Alfa Romeo 155V6 TI DTM 1/24th
The Alfa Romeo 155V6 TI was a FIA Class 1 touring car that raced in the DTM series from 1993 to 1996. 420hp and 4-wheel drive helped it be a dominant car in the series especially in 1993, where the team driver Larini won 11 of the 22 races.
This build is of the 1995 car with the team's new Martini Racing livery. It's a recolor of the models available from AB9. Unfortunately, I don't remember where I got the Martini version... Anyway, here we go! The model is 3 pages with good detail parts but not too difficult and instructions are included! |

Time to complete the body and attach the fender flares. Here's where I ran into a problem. More my mistake than an issue with the model. I misunderstood a fold line in the instructions and missed making an important fold along the side of the body. Luckily, I was still able to make the fold even after being partially assembled. The fit is fantastic!

Wheels next. To me, this is the most disappointing part of the model. There's lots of detail parts, but then the wheels were left flat. I don't know why...
I may try to build this again, but with wheel wells and separate wheels. I don't think it will be too difficult to do. Last edited by DriveWRX; 12-27-2020 at 11:02 AM. |

Chassis and tires. Included is 2 chassis center sections. One has the center open and tab locator marks. The other is solid and clean and used to hide the mess.

Detail parts. The exhaust tips were the most challenging having curves, bends and little tabs. They came out OK.

Completed! An awesome model of an awesome car! Would have been even better with separate wheels...
