Free Model Contest # 6 - Fiat Allis 16B, JJM, 1:100

Oops - only 1 more week till this contest ends, and I completly missed it out (I thought it would run until July 31st...). We will see, if I manage to finish my "real" project.
But with a little help from Slowakia, I can still post at least one model - one of my all-time favorites has been published again, the Fiat Allis 16B bulldozer - available here. A little mindwork is required, but with the fotos the riddle can be solved.
The model starts with a little bodywork.

Next came the tracks. These are easily done, but a little enhancement is always possible. For a better fit, cut off three elements of the chains.

With the tracks attached, the bodywork continues. First, at the backside two consoles are completed. Afterwards, it´s easy to follow the numbers and attach the different elements around the steering platform. I missed the driver´s seat and had to draw one of my own, but the roof will blend off this little fault.

The roof is quickly done, then it´s time for the earth-shield to be assembeled. The hydraulics is made from small nails, that were cut off. What I like very much is the "used" look. I´m still trying to do it myself...

Some more details are added, like exhaust and airfilter on top of the cowling, the rollcage ...

... and with the safety guard around the steering platform the model is finished. The guard is made from fleenetting, which is a bit rough to be scale, but gives a good impression of what is meant.
That´s it...

This looks great! Unless I get any objections, I think I'll extend the contest to maybe after the summer.
