MY CARS: subaru impreza wrc 06, Lancia Delta wrc 91 y Ferrari F-40 GT BPR

hello everyone .. I call myself "craft"
I already introduced myself before and I have published my rocket models here:

(saturn v, and apollo mission j)
My Apollo 15 + LM mission J (yes J)

(the axm shuttle, in all its versions)
AXM Space Shuttle: all missions done !!!

(short story: I barely have money, so I liked the idea of using recycled (used) paper to make models that I wanted, I don't have to envy those who have plastic models)

Well, here in this place I publish the images of my 2 cars (3 previously) ... let's start:

SUBARU IMPREZA WRC 06 (2006) HT55-SRT

(I put it together in 2018) (still alive)

the first one I made was the Subaru IMPREZA WRC 06 (the well-known model that is free on the Japanese page)
Onestamente ... the version that I like the most was the wrc05 (2005 or earlier) .... but I have the attitude of always doing the most difficult ... I chose this: I do not regret it ... the construction was horrible ... but I train a lot for what was coming.

It did not work out as it should, I did many things as I could, and in my own way, (look at the joints of the roll bars) ... well ... I learned a lot making this model. (the posters on the windows ... they are not glued ... they are attached with transparent tape)

... I wanted it as realistic as possible ... and I mean as realistic as possible ... because the HT55-SRT (license plate) specifically raced in the Rally Mexico in 2006 (obviously with Solberg and Mills at the wheel) ... .but THAT rally is gravel .... GROUND! ... and THIS model has ASPHALT tires ... (with low suspension)
so ... download the identical model ... but the one driven by the T.ARAI pilot ... it includes the ground tires ... and I put them on my model.

assembly time: 1 MONTH (yes, 31 full days ... from very early, until dawn almost non-stop) ... I'm not kidding ... that's how I was a few years ago.

As you can see ... it didn't go well.
but hey! It was my first car ... and also one of my first papercraft.

the roll cage, and the gold rims .... they were the BIGGEST NIGHTMARE that I ever had with any other model I made ... sooner or later.
I made the holes for the rims so that they can be seen inside the brake ... and I also made the relief ... all this layers and layers of paper. (a horror of patience I had to have)

the headlights ... well ... I just drew them and that's it ... I just can't and I don't have the pulse to handle microscopic pieces.

Another mistake ... was that the whole front does not coincide with the middle part of the car ... (look at the side of the door ... where the front meets the middle ... right next to the "crown 5" , right behind the rear-view mirror ... there is a piece of blue paper that I used to mask the fault)

The front of the car
... it was the part that scared me the most ... you know ... if it goes wrong ... or I break the parts ... the whole model will be ruined ... because you don't have spare parts. (where I live, I barely have to pay for printing, that's why I use used recycled paper)
The upper ventilation of the engine hood, I did it by hand, the original pieces simply did not work ... so I painted blue paper ... or double ... and the ventilation is ready.

as in all my cars: I used glossy paper ... (a car shines, it deserves that paper) but it is HORRIBLE to build (you cannot easily stick the pieces ... and worst of all ... the paint is peeling) in short, with a blue marker fiber fixes it.

something I hate is to STAIN a model ... if the car is BLUE ... I don't want to see a single drop of blue (or sweat from my hands) on the roof of the car (pure white)... so when I put it together ... it seemed surgeon.

the cockpit: as I said, a horror, I finished it the BEST I can..with patience and count to 10. luckily the site is so dark that you can barely appreciate the cockpit (all in black carbon fiber style)

one of the worst mistakes I made on this model ... is using VERY THICK transparent windows ... sorry ... it was my first car ... I didn't know anything about anything ... about anything. I simply said: this transparent plastic will do ... but ... very late I realized that it was so thick and brittle..that it barely bent ... and when it did ... it was "whitened" by its cracks .. so much so that the windows seem to come out of their place ... (look at the photos)

I forgot to mention something ... the original model ... has the wheels stuck ... without turning ... but I made it an axle so that it can roll.
(In addition to making the axes very high ... to simulate the ground suspension)

I really like this car VERY MUCH (impreza wrc 06) .... but I know ... and now you know that:

this car ... it was just a TEST for me, a test to learn and apply it to the model that I LOVE:

the 1991 LANCIA DELTA INTEGRALE HF 16V winner of the finland rally (manned by "triple K" and his faithful co-driver)
(if this were TV, there would be smoke and lights flashing when presenting)

here I did give a lot of love and patience:

(still lives)

Wheels: I played it safe here, I just made them simple. even the model has suspension and steering ... but I didn't want to risk it ... and I only put a simple axle for the wheels.

the front of the car: here I sweat a lot ... I wanted it to be perfect ... impeccable ... just use layers and layers of paper ... pray that everything would stay the same. (here if I reprinted several times to get it right ... spare no expense)

windows: here use a thinner VERY transparent plastic.

paint: here I had nightmares, the paint (being glossy paper) is peeling, so I used blue, red marker fiber ... to patch the holes ... trying not to stain the pure and immaculate white.

details: I just put in ALL the detail I can.

the cockpit: it was a horror of patience ... but I gave it so much love that it was finally "acceptable".

VERTIONS: yes, it is ONE car, but I can modify it to be another.
the ORIGINAL..obiamente is the 1991 lancia winner of the rally finland
the other, adding the long-range headlights (in Finland you don't run at night ... so it's fictional)
and the other is the FULL 1992 ... where I add the CAPS of the front wheels (fans or turbofans for wheels) and the upper WING
(here it is fictional ... because the 1991 model ... is thin ... and the 1992 is VERY wide and short,
model 92 is the ONLY one that actually incorporated the spoiler
..and turbofans are only used for asphalt rally (and finland is on gravel)

at the end ... when I put it in its box ... I leave it ORIGINAL .. the real 1991 version. (the spoiler, the turbofan covers, and the high headlights .. I keep them in another safe place)

assembly time: 1 month and 10 days. (as always. without stopping at all, just to eat and sleep)
unfortunately can't take pictures of the assembly

Something that I thought from the beginning for my cars (all of them) (not so my rockets) is that if or if they have to be "under cover" ... that is, in a transparent box, in the central room of my house.

these boxes are simple ... they are not glued together ... just "tied" with thread. but they were very good. (so this is easily removable)
I also made the boxes some grips for each axle of each wheel ... so, in case the box tilts, or overturns ... the car is attached to the box of its wheel axles.

you can read their captions below, on a poster I made
