So, meanwhile I glued the cab together. Somehow I made the roof to small, so I have to make it again. There were gaps on both sides between the doors and roof.
I also decided to color the cab, because the original color was like brown-orange or something . I was not happy with this. I did not yet glued the cab to the chassis, because first I want to attach the wheels and make some painting correction on the cab and add some more details. |

Looking good so far. It will be a very nice truck. However, I can see a certain inconsistency in the rear wall of the cabin. In the upper part of the wall, these vertical oblong holes imitating ribbing should also be cut in the outer part of the wall.
Pozdrawiam, Sebastian

You are right, I saw it too. But its too late. Anyway after the main containter is set, there will be almost no view onto the rear wall of the cab.

Today I assembled the chassis, bumper and the cab (still missing some more details). But they are not glued together yet. The front tires were assemled by double-sided tap. So I have room for corrections if needed. I also try to make some tire tread.

Hi everyone,
i have the whole week nightshift, so there is no time to make some progress. But next week I have vacation and planty of time. Anyway, I want to share something with you I saw in the back of the main container. The trash hole in the back of the oroginal garbage truck is much wider than the paper model is showing. So i wil try to make some corrections next week. |

The next Big Thing!
Yesterday I made some changes to the back plate. I had to redraw the horizontal pieces and made them a little bit longer so they can fit between the 2 vertikal plates on the hole. I will inform you about the progress and what mistakes i´ve done eventually. Hope you can follow. I also chagend the the position of the rear lights. I remember the position of the lights whre verticaly not horizontaly. On some old pictures finally I found my confirmation. |

Hello again,
yestarday I started to make the main container. I cut a hole at the last structure piece, where the garbage is loaded, and painted it black. The new parts fits all together so far. Only the rear part with the aperture was a little bit to small (2mm), but there were no need to print it again (see pic. 3). For the aperture cover I will use an old bicycle tube. |

I´m almost finished. I painted the garbage container silver using my airbrush system. The orher parts for the container are also ready. Next days I will put them togehter to finally finish the truck model.
Like I said the cover for the aperture was made from an old bicycle tube (and the mud flaps). I think it makes a good look. The warning lights were made of 2 old trasparent LED. I painted them with transparent orange and covered with clear coat. |

Finally I did it. The Jelcz 315 is ready to roll out. He ist not perfekt, but I´m happy with it. It is something thats truly remindes me of my childhood. I spent a lot of time looking out of the window in my grandmas house to see how the garbage truck is working. Here are now some pictures of the Garbage Truck. Enjoy it.
My thanks to you all for following my progress, and especially for Greg (modelperry) and Sebastian for helping me with this card model. |
