Polish Garbage Truck JELCZ 315 (śmieciarka)
Hello there,
after a long break I want to start a new Paper Model (what else?). This time I want try something new. Not an airplane like the last 10 models but a civilian vehicle. A garbage truck from Poland. It was first built in 1966. This truck was a common vehicle in Poland an it was used almost for everything in transport. The version i want to build is from Answer - Kartonowe Hobby. And the Scale is 1:25. An online shop had also laser-cuts (for few Parts) for this model. It was very cheap, so I bought it too. It´s a very nice thing for me, because I've still some problems to get my hands still from trembling. I think I will start this projekt right next Month (July). Jacek |

This utility car is well known to everyone in Poland - I found it a very good choice. I hope the model will prove its correct design and you will gain splendid result. I will follow the thread impatiently!

Thanks, yes It is a lot of work and I hope also that the model will prove its correct design. Tomorrow I will post all Lasercut-parts. This truck was my favourite one when I was a kid.

The lasercuts are the steering wheel, some few parts for the main frame as also the frame for the cargo box and all 7 wheels of course. I hope u understand my english 😅. |

You may find my build of a sister kit to this helpful. Maybe not identical but I'm sure the cab and frame would be close.

I think usefulness (utility?) should always be a factor in considering the beauty of an object & this truck is quite svelt when compared to the lumbering behemoths we have in our town. Picking up the trash is a noisy process here.

Jacek,
I will be visiting here because wheeled vehicles are my favorite models. I have built one Jelcz (Jelcz 325 "Himalaya Expedition", 1:25) and I know that the cabin design in the whole Jelcz 300 series from Answer is a mess. It's about the front of the cabin. It won't look like it does on the cover. I have a revised design for this cabin. Corrections were made by pawelelka77 from the Kartonowki.pl forum. I made a few of my corrections around the windows and removed the color. If you want to, I will attach a PDF with the corrected cabin. Pozdrawiam, Sebastian
