1/87 Rick Steffers Memorial Jeep

I finished this one this weekend. The kit originally comes at the scale of 1/100,
so I upscaled it to my preferred vehicle scale of 1/87. Added a couple of modifications.
The wheels were cut out of the tire sidewall, a second copy was then domed and glued
to the inside of the sidewall, giving some much needed depth to the wheel.

As provided, the kit contains a spare wheel assembly for the back of the Jeep. Someone
might notice I made a custom made spare tire cover. Seemed appropriate.

So, now a few pics.

Thanks for looking!

Fantastic! I'm just now preparing to put up photos of my 1/50 version, although after seeing yours, I'm a bit embarrassed. Your model is so much nicer looking in 1/87. I don't know how you build 'em so small, Ray.

I missed the link to get the Jeep. Is it still available?

The link is minimodel.sk
Then select catalog.
Scroll down, select "sort by" recent.
It's the 4th or 5th one down.

Nice, Ray! I really like what you did with the wheels. Looks super realistic. Of course, the spare wheel cover is super appropriate!

I have some plans for mine as well...

Thanks for letting us in on this one.

Dan
