The US car and truck manufacturer Chevrolet used a fleur-de-lys as a trademark. The first Chevy trucks were the Model 490 and Model T from 1918.

A website a search produced said that the first Chevrolet trucks were supplied as a chassis, engine, transmission, wheels and suspension, fenders and radiator cowl - it was up to the purchaser to organise the body they wanted.

Regards,

Charlie

On the photo images there is a modern copy of Fleur-de-Lys, built in 1978 for the beer vendor Einbecker in Göttingen. See the blog at https://einbecker.blog/tag/oldtimer/ , post September 4th, 2017 https://einbecker.blog/2017/09/04/bo...ger-beim-ball/ (see auto-translation from GER to ENG in the attached image).

Thank you both very much! Too bad it's not original.

Well, you can call it original because these olditimers are still being produced by the factory, so all they could be classified as orignal cars, although they are not really vintage.

Now I see what you mean. I didn't have time to read the ad before. I liked it better when I thought it was a vintage car. Oh, well. It's still nice in its way. Wouldn't make a model of it, though.

Glad that got answered since I was making myself crazy going through all my references trying to find a match. Closest I came up with was a 30's MAN.

A MAN might well have been the inspiration, since it's a German company. I could write to the brewery and ask --- that probably would have been the easiest thing to do in the first place! Still, it's always nice to have something to puzzle over.
