1976 Ligier - Matra JS5
Good day everybody
Just made another F1. As usual scanned the original which is in 1/24 and printed in 1/32. Well that was the idea but later on it turned out to be 1/31,2... Not much but overall will be some 3 millimeters longer. Anyway started with front wheels. The kitchen alu foil is now standard material... |

Thank You
Hopefully not to close. Otherwise You would spot all the errors Continuing with front wheels, new way with rims. This amount of glue is for a reason, helps the wheel retain it's shape during sanding. While waiting for glue to set start with the engine/transmission Sanding edges and colouring. |

This time, and for a while steering. Reinforcing wishbone suspension with glue.
Anyroad, I am the only one with problems reaching the papermodelers.com or it is known problem recently? And when I want to submit pictures I have to log in once again in the Manage Attachments window. Pretty sure it wasn't like this before... |

The login thing got even better. I click submit on the last post and have to login once again...
Steering done. Thanks to original design all have to be glued in one go: Body , cockpit cowl and air intake and the cockpit. Two lines from the author would do on the floor so it would be clear as were to put the cockpit tub. Scrathbuilding the seat belts, yes they weren't in the kit, and it's not the only one part that this kit is short off... Because printout is a bit pale I use the pen to bring color up to the stripe on the cowl Probably by workings of higher force I put glue on part 5 instead of the cowl/intake and it come up clean. On the other side different method worse results. Intake was making me quite uncomfortable, lots of white area, tricky shape, You know it... But despite the scale it turned quite well. I made a cut after two bottom tabbs to keep more rounded shape of the intake. And it stayed clean for almost 18 minutes when somehow glue get on left side... Hint: Make an template from the cockpit cowling. Glue it to the top body part. Now glue cockpit tub to the top body. Next glue the top body part to the body. Proceed with all the rest and glue the cowling as the last thing Right now it gets in the way all the time and probably will get lot dirtier before rest is finished. With this kit I want it be done in extra time without any scrathbuilding... Yes, so besides steering (ok it's standard now) I open the air intake and made it look like there is something there. |

The work looks geat from the thumbnails, but opening one pops a black screen for the image, but I get a spinning wheel and no action. Hopefully this is just my issue.

Tadaa
Thanks to the works of Top Men (and Women if applicable) I can submit pictures again. Front wing, another tricky part. With parts 16 and 19 it's best to start from the inside and then move to outwards bits. Mine trick is always start with right side of the car. As driver enter car from left (mostly). This way I learn on the part that will be less looked at and made better job on the side that is more exposed. |
