Fordson

Howdy,

Here is a Fordson out of paper completed today. An interesting change from my normal paper airplanes. Prompted by reminiscing with an old farmer pal.

Howdy Whulsey,

According to a parts page
this is Ed Bertschy's 1922 Fordson based on Magnus Eriksons Fordson.
While searching for a tractor model intended as a gift for an old farm boy
friend I discovered it on a saved disc from 2003.

Side note:
Wanting to learn more about tractors I surfed the internet probably spending more time becoming acquainted with tractor history than total build time constructing the model. Intriguing.

I thought it was the Bertschy model, but not being as familiar with tractors as I should, I wasn't sure.

Very nice build. Did you enlarge it? I didn't remember it being that large.

Though it was Ed's model. Tractors are one of my things. Between paper and plastic must have over a dozen Now just need to finish a couple.

Fordson was one of the tractors that got Soviet agriculture going. It also helped with setting up tank manufacturing as most of the early management and engineers involved learned in Fordson producing plants.

Nice model. I know some who has one of those in Ontario although much later model. He's still driving it afaik.

Thanks Guys,

These daylight close up photos show it is not perfect.

Vermin King,
The Parts were printed on two letter size 110 lb card stock.

Model Is:
4.5 inches long
3 inches wide
2 inches high

I agree David,
The paper model challenge does make me happy and it isn’t the glue.

Bob
