Canon Mercedes 500K

Has anyone here built the Canon Mercedes 500K? It's my current project and there's something I'm not clear on.

I have built a couple other of cannon's cars, what seems to be the problem? This one looks similar to those and they were pretty straightforward.

The instructions are not clear (to me, anyway) about whether or not the top of the dash attaches to the inside of the cowling. I decided to attach it because otherwise there would be a very big gap there. Doesn't look great to me, so I'm wondering if that's the way it's supposed to be.

This is a rough build...hopefully the final one will look much better.

It looks like the first thing you build is the cockpit, then you fold the top of the dash to fit over the cockpit. Then you glue the whole assembly under the cowl/hood/door assembly. The post for the steering wheel glues to the white space with the two green dots and should come out under the dashboard.

Thanks...that's what I did. I think I'll leave it as is.
