Austin Mini Cooper S (1963)
This model design by Ichiyama. It can be downloaded here.
I rescale the model to 1:50. I also add a simple interior to increase the level of realism. Hopefully you guys can enjoy it. Have fun, Chandra F. |

I created headlamp from plastic sheet. Also using plastic sheet for 4 side of the glasses. After that, add all the accessories like headlamp, signal lamp, stop lamp, grill and bumper.
Quite satisfied since the car start to take the shape.. Cheers Chandra F. |

It looks like the model is painted with the metallic red on the outside?

Finally, I added all accessories like side mirrors and assembly the car.
Quite enjoy the process. Need to find some time to take nicer pics.. Enjoy, Chandra F |

It's a very good build. I would query the extra pillar on the driver's side door window though, never seen that on a Mini of any era. Perhaps it should be futher forward?

I think the early Minis (originally called Austin Seven and Morris Mini Minor) had sliding front windows. The line you can see in the photograph is where the two pieces of glass overlap.
Very nice build Chandra, especially at such a small scale - it's difficult enough at the original 1:30th! |
