VW "Kombi-Combo"
This bit of silliness was inspired by a photo on a French VW fan site. Two copies of the VW Westphalia model from PaperDiorama, a bit of Photoshop, and a couple of evenings' work gave me a nice break from a more challenging project I'm working on.
There was no information with the photo, but I once owned a VW bus of roughly the same vintage, and I would guess the top speed of this combination would be somewhere around 22 mph. On a good day. Downhill.

It depends. We had a 78 VW bus when I was growing up. Dad had them put a flat 4 Porsche engine in it when he bought it, so we were able to get up to 65 mph pulling a popup camper trailer. Mom even got it up to 80 once..by drafting between 2 big trucks on the Autobahn.

I love it! The van also reminds me of holidays with aunt and uncle :-) .
