Thanks for catching up Don. Hope you and Lil had a good Easter yesterday.
I finished up the drivetrain. Only thing left on the bottom is the exhaust. Fit was OK. I was hoping to have the front steerable but that will not be the case. Also the patterns for wire parts are not accurate for the steering linkage it seems. Greg

Exhaust and front radiator grille assemblies.
Exhaust pipe pattern was spot on. The entire muffler/pipe assembly was painted with Revell Aqua steel. The only caveat was that it should have been installed before the rear axle to improve assembly ease. Radiator grille had a couple detail options for the front badge. The wraps around the grille were all too long which was great. I'd much rather trim too long stuff than try to fill too short stuff. Greg

This was unexpected. I must noodle on a solution....
I don't think this is my error as I placed radiator in the location furthest back possible based on the engine. So, the choices are extend the hood or extend the cowl. I think the later is the better choice here. Ugh. Greg

Fixed the hood issue by extending the cowl. After trying to build the hinged hood, I quickly switched back to the simple hood also provided. I do not think the loss of function is that big of a deal.
I also got the doors built, trim installed, horn fashioned and rear step mounted. Next are the front fenders which already look to be a challenge.... Greg

Good recovery on the hood issue.
As the model nears completion, it really looks great. Don |

This one is finally winding down. I built and installed the front fenders tonight. I was procrastinating in building them up because they looked overly complex. In actuality they built up very easily. I was pleasantly surprised.
Only headlights, license plates, and a few extra tools for a few of the storage bins are left. Greg

Finished this one up this evening. Last items were headlights, license plates and a few tools (hydraulic jack and two wrenches).
Overall an enjoyable project. A few anomalies not usually found in this designer's work did not make for a perfect build but the result was still decent. Greg
