Modelik CWS T-1 1930's Bank Car

After realizing the error of my ways, thinking I could successfully and joyfully build an aircraft designed by Mr. Wasiak, I went back to my original plan of building something from a designer I trust.

After gathering opinions off of FB and my wife, I am starting this build by Jan Kolodziej (John Wheeler in Anglican).

I have built several of his designs and have enjoyed their good fit and engineering.

Up through part 11. The cowling design was slick. It ends up being three ply thick so it ain't going nowhere.

One error to report: rear frame crossmember behind fuel tank has no location marking and the tank is too big longitudinally. I ended up putting the crossmember in after installing the tank.

Interesting subject. Will be following along. At least vehicles of this era tended to have mostly flat panel construction and avoid compound curves

Thanks for following Siwi, Dan, and Don. Today I built up the engine. Some of the cylinders had wraps that were too short. Most of these could be positioned with the seams/gaps inward, so no big deal. I had to fill the gap of one of them with a spare sliver of color.

Intake and exhaust pipes ended up 2 mm thick. Rounded edges after coating with liquid CA helped improve these parts. They did end up needing paint so they were cover with Tamiya iron black.

Ignition wiring was added. Locating points and the instructions showed where the wires went.

Great start. Much better than the last kit attempt

Engine is in, dash board, pedals and levers installed, and steering wheel rim replaced with o-ring.

Fit was off a little but everything went into place eventually.
