After a two week break due to watching dogs (and plants) while my wife was away, I finally got some bench time.
Here is the driver's compartment. The front doghouse piece was not designed properly and had to be modified to fit. I noticed Styrian Spitfire came across the same issue. Greg

Dan, the fun part has ended.
The cab is a mess of a design and the drawings don't help. I did heed Stryian Spitfire's warning of the center windshield panes being to large and adjusted accordingly. After that is where I had trouble. If you continue on numerically and try to follow the diagrams, you get kinda what I got, which ain't good. It appears that Mr. Spitfire took some artistic license and the results, for him, were better. I didn't see his approach until afterwards. Placement of stuff is not well defined by the diagrams. Trying to find the proper location of parts was a challenge. It was not intuitive. When I put the outer skin wrap on, I had gaps everywhere. I had to fill some with white glue. I ended up making a second "cowl" cover piece between the main windshield and wrap. Thankfully, I have a marker color that is really close to the burgundy color of the area. I had to use that same color to cover exposed white areas at the back edges of the windshield. Ugh. Greg

Models with an interior, where there is an inner and an outer skin that need to line up, especially curved surfaces, are a perpetual issue. At worst designers just copy the same dimensions for both parts and ignore the difference in circumference even a milimetre will cause.

I think Polish models, like those from GPM, come with these important considerations:
1. that the builder is always highly skilled in the same type of paper models. 2. that the builder can figure it out no matter how difficult or incomprehensible. 3. that the builder will most likely ignore any instructions you provide and build it "their" way. oh, and one more: 4. you are the test builder and you better damn well build it right or don't bring it to the show.

I believe you are correct, Dave.
I was building a model by this designer a while back and I messaged him in Facebook for his help in one area. His response was to go find a build thread. That's very telling about the care put into the design and experience of someone building it. I never did find a build thread other than the one I was doing.... Greg
