When you tell to people that you can build a model with more than 1000 parts with complex shapes but they ask you if you can do an origami crane well.... You don't even how.
(Yup that's me)
Shame on me

Looking at "You must be a paper modeler if...."
and wondering what manner of answers would be drawn by,
"If you must be a paper modeler...."

I could not fold a crane until I tried the instructions for the origami crane on the Canon Creative Park site. The instructions are presented in a way that is very helpful.Crane - Origami - Art - Canon Creative Park

Art>Origami>Crane

Easy when you know how ... but I don't need to make them... I have a commercial contact that includes one in every mailing as a 'Good Luck' token. I just pass them on.

You must be a paper modeler if you ask, a fellow member for example, "What thread pitch, shaft diameter and paper thickness do you use when you 'screw the rivets' ?

You may be a paper modeler, if when told the amount of rivets,
you say "SCREW THE RIVETS" 8-)

To get the WORST reaction with this statement, say it to a model train collector.

I use to work in a hobby store that sold trains and I said something simulor and got chewed out for an hour for it ;P

You attempted to woo a girl at school by presenting her with a card model of her purse. It was to no avail.

It took me a while to realize that doesn't even work with your parent, let alone somebody at school
