Nothing Is Written In Stone

Monday we had a nice lady from Dignity Memorial to the house to help my mom plan her funeral. (Mom is 91, in fairly good health for 91, but we decided to plan things now vs "when that time comes".)

Anyway, the woman was describing and explaining different services available, and letting us know what could be changed later if we desire.

Her: "You can always change (x) later, nothing is written in stone."

Me: "Well, maybe the name is..."

Her: "..." (sudden shocked/surprised/should she laugh or not look on her face.)

My Niece: "Welcome to our family!"
