I just did a search on ebay for 'cartokit'. There's only the one item.

So this is the built prototype model for the paper model kit?

A built paper model (that probably sells for a few francs).
But its the prototype from the kit designer.
Like the models I build as I am designing a model?

And they think this is worth 750euro (£641.32) ($900CAD) ?
Wow. Thats just crazy in my opinion.
is it just France where scale models are très très expensive?

I recently started posting some of my built prototype models for sale.
I've received requests for pre-builts, which I turned down a long time ago.
(wish I hadn't now)
But I had difficulty asking the prices I am asking, and I immediately lowered those prices.
I'm still selling at half of what this Citroen model costs!! lol

The seller has a lot of metal and plastic model cars. Possibly they are all rare and collectable hence the high price, and they've assumed that a vintage paper model must also be so.


Pretty sure there's a 2CV to similar or higher level of detail kicking around for free somewhere.

The model is what, 20 years old?
And I assume from the limited info in the ebay listing, that this is the prototype build (by the designer).
Although now I am not confident in that.

Regardless, the price is still way too high for the paper model, even if it is the prototype.

Now, a 1/12 scale prototype model of the original 1954 CV2 commissioned by Citroen, would be of decent value.
Paper or otherwise.
But this, is not that.
