That's the part I'd like to live in if I lived there. Some of it is just absolutely gorgeous.

Yeah, that's only 45 minutes from my house in Fresno. And, another 30 minutes to Yosemite - one of the most beautiful places on this little blue planet.

Funny you should mention Fresno...I just had to make two trips down that way today to pick up a sectional sofa, oh joy!

I was born and raised in San Diego. After High School, I joined the Air Force and they sent me to Minot, North Dakota for 18 years. After the initial shock, I grew to love small towns and changing seasons- even the snow (yeah I'm weird like that- being happy where I'm at). Now I burn up at 60 degrees!
When I retired, I decided not to move back to California because it was: 1. Too crowded. 2. Too expensive. 3. Too much crime. So I moved to SE Kentucky for 10 years and in the meantime, was hired by the company I am now with and they moved me to NE New Jersey- 10 miles due east of NEW YORK CITY. Go figure. I am now living just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio in a small-medium size town. Love it! Best Regards,

California! Didn't the lower hunk fall in the ocean about 30 years ago. lol! Sorry, too easy. We still speak English here in Hillbilly Heaven. If you and call this accent I have English. I still can't understand some of the folks from up the smaller hollers, but I live down by the creek (pronounced crick here). My Ex had a friend from California that would phone just so her friend out there could hear my Ex's accent.
I used to work with a lady that told me about growing up in the Mt Shasta area, & a feller that told great stories of surf fishing for small tuna in the San Diego area. As a young feller I used to deliver groceries to a lady that told of driving a hot rod and drag racing in SoCal. They all made it sound great! BTW! You can tell if you're from California if you understand the Richter scale but not your Governor! Jack
