I received about three scam letters about being able to receive 20 million from some African Country's treasury and asking for me to open a bank account here in the Unite States in my name and they would transfer the funds but I had to send 20 thousand dollars to get the big sum because the treasurer needed the money.
On the third letter I replied, if you have 20 million, why do you need 20 thousand? I also explained the law in reference to money laundering and the illegality of transferring a nations funds to an individual account. Not to mention the IRS who would like to know how I got those funds and the capital gains tax I would have to pay to the American Government. Needless to say, I did not get any more messages.

OK, I Never, Ever forward silly emails at the office. But this I could not resist! I paired Marco's first post with Art Deco's reply and sent it around. This is just classic!
BTW I did change "Major Abacha" to "Major Tunde". Just couldn't help my self. Cecil

You want to have a good laugh, just search online for '419 scam'. There is a dedicated group of people who fight back against scammers from all nations and turn it around for a good laugh.
My favorite is the story of a guy posing as a British Vicar who cons a Nigerian Scammer out of some money in order to mail the scammer fake cheques and posing as other staff from the church relates to the scammer that the Vicar has a change of heart, goes crazy and runs off with the church's money. The letter about the Nigerian Astronaut is definitely the best one yet.
