OK folks, after a test build I do believe that this model will be at least a good representation of the Peedee. Additional future information will no doubt prove my model inaccurate but with what is available no I think I must be close.

Do to the size of the gunboat, I went with the twin masts in a schooner rig. In reallity, the masts may have been removed, shortened or never put on do to it's service as a river gunboat.

I need a good test build and pictures.

That's awesome! I will make the adjustments you suggested and then this will be available at ecardmodels! Thanks Greg! On a scale of 1-5 how hard do you think it was, or what skill level so to speak? I was concerned about some of those small parts but you pulled it off great! Thanks,
CT

3 or 4. I'm used to small parts so it was more of a three for me. Those builders not used to small parts may find it more in the "4" category.

Thanks Jim, after a few minor updates to the kit it will go up soon. Greg did an awesome job. Many of the parts are delicate on this design, one reason why my printed copy remains uncut! My Champion tinclad is the same way, small delicate parts. Thanks again Greg!

Very nicely done Greg. I just this minute finished printing my copy of the Pee Dee for a Beta build. Your photos will make a good reference for me.

Corey, shall I start a build thread or post photos here?

Curt

Curt, Feel free to do either!. The more pictures the better. I like build threads but it is up to you! Also, a second view point on any possible changes or instructional notes would be welcomed. This is why I like multiple beta builders. It makes for a better final model. Be aware that number 26 is actually made up of a number of itty-bitty parts, and the base is something like a flower peddle design, and is small. And the wheel base needs to be lengthened a bit. And thanks! I look forward to your opinion and effort!
