CSS Palmetto State 1-250 scale

As some of you know I have been working on a 1-72 scale model of the CSS Palmetto State, a Confederate ironclad. It is a full hull fully detailed plank on frame design that has occupied much of my free time for a few days now, and is about driving me nuts (ok, more nuts). As much as I want to get this done, I could not resist taking a few hours and making a simplified 1-250 scale waterline model of the same boat. It has far fewer details and is small, as the original ship was just over 170 feet in length. If you enjoyed my Fredericksburg or Virginia II, you will like this one. I hope to have a PDF ready by the end of the week end. If anyone would like do a build of this and let us follow on this thread, just PM me with an email address. I need a couple of builders for different prospective. Thanks guys, now back to work on the frame makings for the big one...

OK, the 1/250 scale waterline model of the CSS Palmetto State is ready for building. It is a FREE download. PM me if you would like it, and I am also going to see if Ecardmodels.com would like it as well.

As a side note, I stumbld upon this over at you tube.
YouTube - Anime Boys' Tribute_The Cumberland's Crew

It is Anime, but it is a surprisingly accurate telling of the fight between the Virginia and the Cumberland. I would love to find a model of the Cumberland, but I may have to make one.

I was just checking downloads and I could not believe it! The basic free version of my Virginia II has over 100 downloads and the 1861 Norris gunboat that I posted there a few hours ago already has 10 downloads. It dose my hart good to know so many modelers are into ironclads!
Just a reminder, her are the 1/250 scale models I have completed so far,

CSS Wilmington, not yet released, waiting on pictures and feedback
CSS Virginia II, free download for the basic, full model at Ecardmodels.com
CSS Fredericksburg, available at Ecardmodels.com
CSS Tennessee, not yet released, waiting on pictures and feedback
CSS Palmetto State, free, not yet released, needing pictures, PM me if you want one
Norris Gun boat, free download

And I have these in the works to be done soon...
1/72 scale full hull CSS Palmetto state
1/250 scale CSS Jackson
1/72 scale Ironclad casement section, cut a way
1/72 scale CSS Squib
1/10 scale Confederate keg torpedo
1/250 scale CSS Charleston

And a friend from this site and I are actively conspiring to finish a 1/250 scale model of the CSS Chattahoochee.

So that's what on the menu anyhow.

Anyhow, pictures of completed models and your comments are welcomed!
Thanks,
Corey

I am looking for a test builder or two for my latst fort mounted Brookes gun in 1/72 scal, PM me if you want to take it on.

I am wondering how this model went together...did anyone have a chance to complete it yet? I have too many irons (or ironclads) in the fire now! I can not keep up with everything. Pictures of any of my models would be great!
