Your models look very good, Knife. I like the wood grain texture on the life boats and decks.
Corey, you have built up a remarkable stable of kits. Congratulations on all this good work. Don |

Thanks for the early gift. This will solve my problem of getting a couple at a time and just get them all and beg for forgiveness from my wife she asks about the charge. It is always easier to ask foregiveness than permission. Joe |

Questions?
Hi,
Where can I get the documentation on this one, or can you send me the documentation. Or, is all the info about it in your first post about it. I think the idea is cool, but question the practicallity of it. I would like to try to make one for fun as an experimental model. I think it would make a grrrrreat RC model though.

The first "clue" came with this description:
Unnamed Double-ender ironclad ram Dimensions: length 220', beam 27', draft 11'6" Displacement: ? Speed: ? Crew: ? Armor: ? Armament: 1-2 guns Authorized: ? Unnamed (Richmond): Some sources call this a Wilmington-type ironclad, but the facts suggest it was a different design by Graves. This would have been a "double ender," with rudders, screws, and ram on each end. at the website: Confederate Ironclads My real help came from john Wallis, who is working on getting his book published. He supplied good three way drawings of this ship as well as descriptions compiled by Robert Holcombe, among others. CT

Double Dog Dare!
Hi,
Well I was gonna ask you if I could get that drawing.....but I went googly and started a version of a doubleender which I started with the famous CSS Virginia II backdrop, and that is pretty much what it turned out to be a modified CV II. So I started over from scatch with the pencil and says to meself, what would a double ended ironclad be like. Well this is what I can up with so far, the possibilities are limitless really. I don't know about the practicallity or a real ship like this but we did have boats like this when I lived in Loooosianner, and we went swampin!
