Bit of an issue with the Quadriplane. I was doing some research to deetermine what engine it had, when I discovered that Ecardmodels already has model of this plane. Soooo, scratch that one,and off to find more wierd WWI planes with lots o' wings.

Do you think if we crossed our eyes and squinted the Caproni CA-60 might pass for a WWI design? It's got more than one pair of wings :p And a whole bunch of engines

Hey folks! this contest is underway!
Swanny's Models - World War I Special Interest Group

I think only Charlie and myself have entries and there has been some good interest in our models so far. Charlie is making a tutorial out of his build!

Come and build ANYTHING related to WWI
Hope to see ya there -
Chris

I am going to have to find something to model for this contest. I just can't pass up a challenge like this.

Problem is, I don't want to do the same things that everyone else will likely do, and there's no way I can finish my Montana AND start (and finish) the Virginia-class BB I wanted to do by then.

Hmmm... Maybe a waterline Virginia in microscale... Possible...

Chris, when I finish my current project with the Dazzle mustang I plan on entering this project. I'm thinking of the freely available Tin Toy Ford 3 ton gun carrier. I plan to use re-coloring and layering techniques to build it into a relatively decent scale model.

But first things first.

Okay Chris,

This is all your fault, I entered the contest, the first ship model by the way.

My entry will be Digital Navy's V-108 Torpedo Boat. I was pretty jazzed when it was redesigned to 1/200 scale and the resolution upped to 600 dpi, so this as good an excuse to start another ship model as I can come up with.

Jay, I must admit that the V-108 crossed my mind. I built it once and I'm sure your version will be far nicer than mine.
