WWI Modeling challenge

This is an OFFSITE contest. I thought many of you might be interested and it would also help promote our hobby in the community I like to do that!

Paper has already been welcomed into the contest with open arms.

Basically you can model any WWI subject in any scale. You CANNOT start the build prior to Nov 20th (I now have a deadline for finishing my first repaint) and it must be completed by April 11th.

Swanny's Models - World War One Model Contest

If you might be interested please check it out. If anyone joins up, I will submit a prize for best paper model and add prizes to the top places.
Thanks!
Chris

Swanny's says any topic so long as its WW1...hmmm....wonders if that includes the Biggles (movie version) Bell JetRanger...?

It'd be nice to build the K-Wagen for this...

I'll consider it as incentive to finish a design of the Vickers Gunbus that I've been working on.

I guess this would be an opportunity to show off my latest model I'm working on, until I can recover all my modelling files off my other computer's harddrives. It is the Armstrong Whitworth FK-10 Quadriplane

I haven't been able to find any info on it, but I thought it looked cool enough to try and model.
I've still gotta do some small stuff: Windshields, the rear gun and tail skid.

i read the general information about the contest, and it does not indicate that i would have to purchase a kit or something, am i right? can i enter a free model?

Don't mean to be picky but contest runs 11 Nov 2010 (Armistice Day) to 21 April 2011 (Red Baron shot down in 1918). Sounds tempting though - 1/25 St Chamond would be interesting. Don't see why a free model would be excluded - it's just that the pl**tic world doesn't have such things.

Regards,

Charlie
