All these sound like great projects -- I have a 1/4-built paper clock in the basement waiting to get itself completed some day, Rick.
I like your Jules Vern project, Chris. Hmmmmm. Wicked wench, Kevin? And -- oh, yeah -- beginner. As if! The Corvette show will be here in a couple of weeks, Billy, if you can get across the Atlantic. And I will enjoy seeing the Cleopatra take shape. Don |

Don,
The "Wicked Wench" will be a nice change of pace for me. I've never built a paper model of a ship before, it will be a lot of fun. I like the fact that this subject is not an actual "real life" vessel. I can let myself go crazy by adding extra little touches here and there without worrying about the exact historical details of a specific ship. But first, Iwant to complete the M3 Stewart that I've been working on... |

My entry for the contest will be Modelik's 19th century Polish train. I have never built a train before so this should bring negative returns on comfort and joy. In fact, as I look over the parts, "building" it my head, I don't see any components I recognize as in other models. I only see circles and squares and rectangles.... I hope they turn into a train before 25 December.

Probably not outside my comfort zone (although it isn't an FG model) but, I'm gonna do the U.S.S. SkipJack model which I found online recently.
I've never had luck with sea creatures, and I detest formers, so let's see how this works out. Unfortunately, I don't remember where I found it, and can't read the name of the designer. Looks like Arznchu74, or something like that. I'm gonna cheat a little though, and increase it from 1:400 to 1:200, cause I want something meaty to display on a shelf in my new apartment. Also, I won't be able to start on it until the beginning of September, when I get moved. |

Gentleman, would it be alright to change my mind? this should be a little bit more challenging than the Corvette, which has only 45 parts ( I didn't start anyway)
I recently got my hands on this baby, and never did a paper motorcycle before... IMHO it's one of the nicest papermodels I know I have some thoughts about the "no comfort", because this kit is completly pre-cut, and the "no joy" because it looks absolutely great! It's the Wrebbit Harley Davidson Hertage Softail Classic |

Regardless of the contest or not, I'd love to see a build thread on that one Billy! I've got the Wrebbit Mercedez about 1/4 done that I'll go back to at some point, but I've only seen pictures of the box cover of the Harley.
