Darwin I sent you a PM about the sign up.

...
Because of a recent spamming attack, we implemented some Anti-Spam software*.
It allows us to look up your email and IP and check to see if there are reports
of spam from other places on the web.

Exactly...an IP can cover a wider area and a lot of email addresses. A good
email address can get caught in a net of spammers just because they share the same IP.

*our software does not automatically ban users or IP addresses.
My Moderator checks every one against a database and he decides what IPs get the ban
and what users get kicked.
My apologies to anyone who might get accidentally caught in a check like this.

What do you mean by "micro" build? 1/200?

So, for the benefit of others, your answer is ".....anything smaller that 1/72 would be considered a "micro" build."

Thank you very much.

Yeah, sorry...just want to make sure everyone has access
to all the information that is posted at the Forum.

Although I don't understand how you do it,
but love the microscopic builds that some of you do...
I feel I would be judging the model solely on its reduced size.

I guess its part of my idea to recognize and reward the less skilled entrants.
I'm hoping to see more creativity in the display of the final entries.
Thats why I would love to see Dioramas or display extras that make a more
unique and interesting photo entry, rather than just another model build.
Even just photographing the model in an odd or interesting way could impress me.
(Just don't photoshop something together!)

For those of you serious builders, please feel free to do what you do best.
Submit your best build effort.
I'm just saying that it might not be the best built model that wins.

I sent you a PM with the entry info you need.

...

Just a reminder...
the Contest thread at the CutandFold Forum explains all the entry details
and there is a Question and Answer thread for anything you don't get.
Take a look there first to see if there is an answer to your problem
and if not, post your question.

Thanks, Dave, for your remarks. No hard feelings, I can assure you. I was just curious and nothing more. Don't worry about it.

you didn't offend me in any way...all is good here.
!!!

I hope you will still consider doing up an entry?
even with the "micro" restriction.

...
wow, I am very happy to see a few people have already signed up
for the Challenge.
And a good assortment of models already.
I can see I might have to add some more prizes before this is over!
I'll keep that in mind.

CutandFold Challenge February 15 Update
.................................................. .............

I'll post an update every week, two weeks, or whenever
just to give the thread a bump and keep you all informed.

A couple of weeks into the Challenge and it looks like we have some
great entries being submitted.
I'll post the Entry Roster (as it is updated) with each Challenge update.

....................................

Official Entry Roster [Updated as Entries are posted]
________________

milenio3 - TBA
65Cycl0ne - 1/48 Torpedo Boat PT-157 "Aces n Eights"
Dalmi - AT-Texan, squadron 793 air force Spanish
Darwin - TBA
Tapcho - TBA
vintage modeler - B24 Liberator
bobby_six - DeHavilland Sea Vixen
kacrut - Old Crow Mustang
timallen - autocar armored car

....................................

I am considering adding at least one more Prize category.
I'm thinking a Reader's Choice might be a nice idea
since my idea of a "winner" might not sit with everyone.
I'll have to wait and see what the turnout is like.

In fact, if the entries get too numerous, I will consider
even more prizes!

......................................

Please consider taking part in the challenge.
If you have purchased one of my models in the past,
you could use it as a build entry.
Or, get yourself a new model.
Just remember, it can't be something you have already built.
Your build must be started new (after Jan 20).
