If the kit instructions call for it, you can use clear. That goes for wire also.

I remembered there was a translation of the MM Tiger instructions around - found it at: http://mysite.mweb.co.za/residents/net03766/tigert.txt.

Of interest is this bit in the hull instructions:

"Glue the framework together in the sequence of the frame numbers. To reinforce the structure, glue in place right-angle pieces made from 5X5 pieces of bristol board. Prepare likewise strips of 1 mm card to reinforce from inside the joins in the outer sheathing of the hull."

Sounds pretty much what I wanted to do.....

Regards,

Charlie

You might be warned by the comment on: Northrop F5E Tiger II

"The author of this model is Bohdan Wasiak. If you build one of his models, rest assured you will remember this name for a long time! Overall quality is very bad. Fit is terrible, almost every detail should be corrected. Detailing is poor, no wheel wells, cockpit interior is ugly and the shape of the plane is slightly incorrect. I found the best way to build this model is to scan it, correct the wrong details in PhotoShop and re-print. This is model should only be attempted by experienced modelers with good Photoshop skills. The model is significant as I don`t know another F5 in 1:33 scale. "

Bohdan strikes again..... makes you wonder if Bohdan was related to someone in Modelarz' management.

Regards,

Charlie

Our dear friend Bohdan

As I recall from the last contest Bohdan did all right on WWII planes but his jets stunk to high heaven. At least the B-25 (his only prop job we saw in that contest?) turned out to be reasonable as I recall. You would have to ask Milenio3 about that I think.

Just want to be sure about? You mentioned wire, and that good since I can add the railing and what about string for rigging. I have found it is better to ask questions than to question the rules afterwards!:D

Bohdan's WWII planes are NOT all right! Having built a few (and thrown a couple away), I can tell you now that Mr. Wasiak must have had the goods on management at MM. I don't know how else anyone as inept could have kept the job as long as he did. I will NEVER forgive MM for letting him design the JU-87B. *** I have just erased several out of line comments about Mr. W's design capabilities. *** You have to be a real masochist like me to attempt a second Wasiak design. Still, there is a rewarding feeling from getting one of his kits together despite all of his efforts to the contrary.
He must have worked incredibly fast or incredibly cheap...or both.

Hey guys,
I wondered if you could bend the rules just a fraction;
I would love to enter the competition with this one; the 1958 X-3 from Model Kartonowy, I realise that it is not a Maly-modelart, but it has the same feel..
have a look..

Billy,
I hope you are not planning to cut up this one?????
This is a very old and rare model with considerable collector value...
I believe this one was published in 1958.
