Oh....... that dang thirteen star circle with the 76 in the middle ain't as easy as it looks............. the Bicentennial log was a breeze, I found a vector of it.........no joy on the stars. Had to do that one from scratch :-) Last edited by John Bowden; 08-21-2014 at 09:39 PM. Reason: aadendum |

Sounds like fun, Aaron. I had already downloaded the free yellow version, so I used that file for my recolor (I hope that's OK) in Royal Moroccan Air Force livery from the '60's. I'm having printer troubles at the moment, so if I can't get rid of the streaks, I might need to rely on another builder. So do we send the zipped file to you for consideration or do you want to see it built first via a forum thread?
Here's what mine will look like:

Knife......... where did you find that?
Here is what I've come up with and also a pic of the "real" aircraft. Notice how big the 76 is in the real picture. |

Let's go with a built pic here first. That way any errors are found and fixed.I only get 5Gs of storage , and I'm already at 2.5Gs, so the fewer correction pages the better.

I guess I will kick off this contest. Here's the T-28C from the 1st Air Commando Squadron based at Tan Son Nhut Air Base. Information about the unit can be found here: The Days of Jungle Jim | Air Commando Association
I added a lot of panel lines and other details. I still need to fine tune some components. The aircraft is mounted on the stand using magnets, so the two can be easily separated and rejoined. The patch on the stand is from the 1st Air Commando Squadron. |
