In my efforts to recreate this photo,



I have reached the 1/3rd point



Next up is the Helicopter, which has been printed out.

Step 3 is a base, and trying to recreate the background.

Hey guys, I'm sorry, but I had a last minute move and work has had me slammed the last two weeks. The contest is a go - I was going to give it until the last week of September for people to have plenty of time to enter.

I scaled by eye to match the scale of my S-58's, so about 1/32ish. I couldn't identify the truck in the picture, but the picture was taken in Brussels, Belgium. The model is just a generic interpretation of a European refueling truck from the 50's.

By the way, the 2 prominent buildings in the picture are still there. The one on the left is the Citroen factory/ dealership. Dunno what the one with the high peaked roof is. Do we have any members in the Brussels area that could recreate the background in a picture? Google streetview doesn't have the right angle or distance.

So, I am officialy in and a very early stage of my entry design can be seen here; 1939 Dodge Airflow Truck

I will do my best to get this done on time... at least the prototype.

Anyway, we are doing this for fun right?

Hey guys, I want to apologize that this never got further. Some "real" life stuff really went south on me over the last year and it's not over. Great work, even if not as much as I'd hoped to inspire.
