Independence Day Challenge?

For those of us in explosively challenged (nanny) states/countries, how about a holiday challenge?

What can you launch from a stomp rocket launcher? Just in time for the 4th, lot's of commotion, get everyone involved, and no setting the neighbor's roof on fire!

The launcher is on the downloads page - real space, ARES I stomp rocket - so a few electrons, a $6 trip to the hardware store, and a rolled paper/cardstock tube gets you started.

Entries are a picture of your projectile on the launcher. Anything is fair game. Planes, trains and automobiles - if you can stick it on a tube it'll fly. It's not Guy Fawkes day yet, but blasting Big Ben into the sky might be appropriate, don't you think? May be a good use for that prototype you're just not happy with, or something simple the small people in your life can build, or just an excuse to clear some shelf space so you can build more models.

We can catch 4th of July (Canada Day 1 July, Bastille Day 14 July, National Day on 9 Aug, Malay Day on 31 Aug, Mexican Independence Day on 16 Sep, heck we can make it a permanent floating challenge and go for Guy Fawkes day on 5 Nov, Australia Day on 26 Jan, the Kiwi's Waitangi Day on 6 Feb, Constitution Day in Poland on 3 May, Italian Republic Day on 2 Jun, Philippine's Independence Day on 12 Jun, or whenever you celebrate).

Prizes? I'm open to suggestions - though keeping the small people diverted with something quiet, safe, yet chaotically exciting while you enjoy a cool beverage is priceless.

Just to get started ... 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 - POOT!

Absolutely! I could see it as a permanent, floating challenge with folks building toward their own significant holiday.
