A diorama would be ok but it would have to include all of a Micromodel brand Model.

Scratchbuilt wouldnt work as it would kind of defeat the purpose of a Micromodels Contest.

Here's my entry - a stock build of one of my favorite racing boats, the Bluebird. As you can see, I need more practice forming petals :o I also didn't color any edges.

This would be a great model to be redrawn since the pontoons are not fully enclosed. Other parts such as the right splash screen needs to have the reflection corrected. Also, there were few markings for parts placement, so I had to use the 3-view for reference.

I think there is a place for entries (not this post)

That is a nice model. I have not seen it built. Most of the Micromodels boats are hollow some where... And have some incorrect inking also. But it goes with what they are...

Well its almost August 29th - I see one entry and one almost done.
Would people like some more time? Well you get it anyway, I am leaving town for my birthday and wont be back til next week. So I hereby continue this contest through Friday Sept 4th
I am not done with my model anyway!!! (ah its great to make the rules...)

so to refresh...
Winner gets MicromodelsUSA CD's Volume 1 and 2 and the first copy of the next MicromodelsUSA model that will be released at the end of this contest!. (Im actually almost done with it too!)

Winner (best model in contest) will be voted on only by the people who enter models in the contest, with the caveat you cant vote for your own model.

oh and as an extra carrot, after its over, I will email anybody who enters a model in the contest any 1 MicromodelsUSA model - your choice.

Contest is extended to Friday Sept 4th

Matt Sparks
Full disclosure, I run/own MicromodelsUSA.
