Aircraft

The first person to identify these aircraft and/or the publisher wins a copy of the kit. Happy Days.

really? the first one doesn't look a lot like a f 104, and IF the second one is a mig 17 fresco, isn't it supposed to NOT have the nose cone? also, the 17 has a elevator mounted near the stabilizer, the paper one has it mounted on the top

I would think that the Russian one is a first generation sub sonic fighter, but I just can't think of the name, it isn't the mig 15, 17, 19 or 21, and it isn't a sukhoi 7, 9 or 11 perhaps it's a yak,now I'm not sure about my conclusion, but I'm pretty confident

I'd go with an F-101 prototype (XF-88) on the left, I'd agree with KgLL on some kind of Sukhoi prototype (T-3) on the right except for the low horizontal stab. Might be the Mig-17PF with the added radome (kind of like the last - ugly - versions of the F-86) except that has a mid-fin horizontal stab. Can't recall any Soviet T-tails. So, call it XF-88 and Mig-17PF.

OK Ive got a book with supposedly every fighter aircraft ever that made even 1 test flight up until like 1992 (yes the book is like 4 inches thick) and I'm drawing a blank here.
