Modell Nitra 2024
Hello everyone!
On Saturday we were in Nitra / Slovakia at the model building exhibition where you can see plastic and paper models. Actually, the whole thing is a competition organized by the model building club Zobor Nitra. According to the club, around 1200 models were registered, of which around 400 were paper models, which I counted myself. The crowds were really big, according to the gentleman at the cash desk there were around 1700 visitors. On the dealer side there were 49 dealers with all kinds of products, including 4 paper dealers. In my photo report I will concentrate on the paper models because that would go beyond the scope here. But of course there were also a number of excellently built plastic models to admire. I also got to talk to Juraj and Peter, who I already knew from my work in the Slovakian forum. I would like to thank you for organizing this nice event. There were many nice models and even more visitors, children's corners, club tables, many vendors, the army demonstrated a radar layout outside and current and historical weapons inside...so there was a lot to look at...and also thanks for the medals I received and maybe goodbye in a year.

The medieval town is my favourite, a huge and intricate work. Is it a real place? I recognise some of the small scale modern city and railway models too.
